1. Design

The Frigidaire pro gas range varies between 36 1/8″ to 36 5/8″ in height, width is between  29 7/8″ and the depth is 26″. The Cooktop is of 30” and has five burners, which includes a dual-ring oval burner right in the centre. The convenient iron rates make it easy to move the pots and pans. The oven has a capacity of  5.1 cu. Ft. and features three different racks, each to be used for a different purpose. The large industry level oven window makes it easy for one to monitor the food preparation. The control panels have been placed strategically right in front of the range. All the control knobs are metallic. But must be used with care otherwise they might scratch easily. The oven handles too has been developed in pro-style. Made out of stainless steel, the oven door is easy to open but must be carefully released while closing or else it slams. The burners produce temperature high enough to cook meat properly.

Rangetop

Frigidaire FPGH3077RF

The range top features five burners. The centre burner is ideal for simmer and the overall cooking and is between 500-15500 BTU. The left front burner is 12000 BTU and the left rear one stands at 7500BTU. The right rear burner is 5000 BTU and the right front one is at 18000 BTU. Both the left burners produce a decent amount of heat reaching temperatures above  360°F. However, the right front burner gets hotter and reaches a temperature of  450°F. This is a mighty temperature range for a gas-powered cooktop. However, only the centre burner produces a mid-level heat. As per many frigidaire fpgh3077rf review, one can only cook over medium-high heat on multiple burners. Though the range can cook meat to perfection, broiling is not its strongest suit.

Oven

Frigidaire FPGH3077RF

The 5.1 cu. ft. oven is very effective and is almost of a professional variety. The gas rangetop is complemented really well with the electric oven making it one of the best dual fuel ranges to consider. The baking range goes up to 18000 BTU and the boiling range is at 11500 BTU. There is one rack for glide, one for handle and another for offset. Overall, there are seven rack positions on the oven. Its a 350 Watt True Convection, which is unlike the common convection oven models. This oven is capable of even heat distribution owing to the hidden element at the back of the oven fan, which separates it from the other oven models in the market. There are multiple recipes to work with which includes PowerPlus Preheat, Convect Roast,  Bake, Broil Warming and much more. A temperature probe is provided with the model which comes in handy to maintain a stable temperature while preparing meat. The broiler, however, takes a little time to reach a scorching hot temperature.

2. Installation

Once the location of setting up the gas range has been selected, make sure that it has enough gas supply and power. The dimension of the range must also be taken into consideration, and a minimum clearance gap must be provided. It’s advisable to keep a minimum 36″ clearance gap to protect wooden or metal cabinets around the range. It’s not advisable to have cabinet storage above the range. Under Ideal conditions, the gas range should be coupled with a powerful under-cabinet range hood or an over-the-range microwave with an efficient venting apparatus. If the heat is trapped in the bottom of the cabinet, it might lead to a fire hazard. Before placing the range, anti-tip brackets that come with the range must be installed. If the range is shifted to another place, the anti-tip brackets must also be moved with it.

3. Electrical Specifications

Frigidaire FPGH3077RF slide in gas range

The Frigidaire pro gas range requires a minimum circuit of 15amps. Since the power supply button is located near the left rear bottom, the power source must also be arranged likewise before installing the range. The voltage requirement stands at 120V 60Hz. Additionally, it’s crucial to follow the electrical setup instructions made by the US government. If there is an absence of the local codes, International Electrical Code ANSI/NFPA No.70—latest edition in the United States or the CSA standard C22.1,  can be used as reference points. Extension cords must never be used for installing this range. The power cord of the range has a 3-prong (grounding) plug which must be inserted in a 3-prong grounding wall. These electric requirements are pretty standard and hence the range can be very well classified as a professional range for home or restaurant use.

4. Price

Priced at $2,000- $2700 the Frigidaire pro gas range is indeed expensive. But this is the money to pay for if you are looking for a professional quality oven. Though the cooktop of the range requires a lot of adjustment to be made compared to other ranges which are priced lower like the Electrolux EI30EF45QS starting from $2,198.10 and GE JGB700SEJSS starting from $1,073.00, this range is better than a lot of popular cooktop ranges in the market.  It’s baking and broiling option leaves much to be desired. The performance of these two elements are so poor, it might not seem justifiable to spend such a heft sum on it.

5. Warranty

The company provides a one-year warranty with the cooking range. However, the warranty will lapse if the original serial number on the product is removed or damaged in any way. If the cooking range is transferred from the original owner to another party, or have been taken out of the USA territory, the warranty will not be applied. Rust on the exterior or the interior of the cooking range can also lead to the lapse of the warranty. If there has been any food loss due to some fault in the refrigerator or if the range has been used for any commercial purpose, the warranty does not cover the damages caused.

6. Frigidaire FGPH3077RF Gas Range User Reviews

The best thing about this cooking range is it’s easy to clean feature. The burners too produce a decent amount of heat to try out the variety of recipes. The oven is a true convection model and allows one to try out different recipes and baking option. Though the price of the range is a little on the higher side, the features that come with this particular range makes it worth. It’s an easy to install model and is an elegant contribution to a modular kitchen.
